Moon Sage Mama LLC Services provides support for individuals and families from fertility, to labor and birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding and beyond. All services are trauma-informed and offered with extra care to the emotional body of the pregnant and parenting persons. It is our hope to offer gentle, inclusive and understanding care in all that we do.

Labor & Birth Support
Whether you hope for an unmedicated birth, plan an epidural, have a scheduled c-section, or are not sure, every birthing person deserves support and someone to amplify their voice on this wild journey to parenthood. If it's your first or your fifth, you are delivering in a hospital, birth center, or home, a doula has your back. Evidence shows that doula support reduces risk of c-section, reduces use of medication for pain relief, reduces the time spent in labor, and increases satisfaction with the birth experience overall. 

Moon Sage Mama's Labor & Birth package provides comprehensive support. The package includes 2 prenatal visits where the doula helps you balance out any anxieties about birth with the hope that you can enter the birth space feeling empowered! The doula also reviews or helps with your birth plan, helps your birth partner to learn how to support you too, and is available as the person in your corner as you navigate pregnancy, birth and beyond. During your labor and birth, the doula utilizes a number of mind/body/spirit skills help with intensity, keep you grounded, empowered, and believing in yourself and this process. This package also includes a Post Birth Processing session where you have the space to walk through the birth, ask questions, and process your experience. The doula makes sure you're feeling well all around, the feeding is going well, and that you have the resources you need to move into parenting in the best way possible.

Postpartum Support

Support in the early postpartum days can significantly reduce the occurrence of postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADS) like postpartum depression. Postpartum Doulas help with daytime or nighttime baby care, sibling care, laundry, meal prep, light cleaning up, basic lactation support, local errands, etc. so the birthing person can rest and feel held and supported in healing during those early weeks. Cooperative doulas are here to ease the transition to life with a new baby, and nourish you both. Our doulas are specialty trained to hold gentle space for birth stories and the feelings and thoughts that arise in the sensitive                                                                                    postpartum period.

COACHING & BIRTH PROCESSING SESSIONS

Birth Processing 
FOR BIRTHING PEOPLE AND PARTNERS: Have you experienced a difficult or challenging birth? Was your birth traumatic? Do you find yourself thinking about or reliving a moment or moments during the birth of your child? Are you worried your past birth will leak into your current birth?
YOU ARE NOT ALONE. 

Birth Processing sessions allow you the space to be seen and heard as you share your birth story. I listen to your story and hold gentle space for what may come up. During the sessions, you can share a single "sticky moment" from your birth, or share your whole birth story. You lead the session and go as deep as you feel. Typically people find a lot of relief in just 1 or 2 sessions. These are NOT meant to be therapy, but a nonjudgemental and gentle space to untangle your story, find clarity and healing. 

FOR THOSE WITNESSING BIRTH: Are you a doula, midwife, nurse, OB, a partner or someone else who has witnessed birth? Do you carry some of those "sticky thoughts" with you? Do you carry guilt, anger, fear about a particular birth? Birth Processing sessions for partners and professionals aim to help you move through difficult birth experienced you have witnessed. I will hold space for you to share whatever you choose, and help you to navigate and untangle the story and your place in it in a completely open and nonjudgemental way. You deserve spaces to heal too. 


Coaching Sessions 
Maternal Mental Health, Fertility, Prenatal, and Postpartum Coaching:  There is NO reason to feel alone on your journey to and through parenthood! Whether you need an understanding and supportive ear during your intense and often traumatizing fertility process, if you are struggling with fears about pregnancy and birth, or want to feel seen and heard in those very difficult moments postpartum, you'll find love and gentle coaching here. For any stage of motherhood, coaching sessions use a variety of techniques such as processing, journeying, mindfulness, grounding, CBT, etc., and ALWAYS THROUGH A TRAUMA-INFORMED LENS, to talk through the sometimes jarring thoughts of parenthood. Sessions are 50min and conducted over zoom. 
Compassionate Fertility Support

If you have been on the fertility journey, you know that it is a mind/body/spirit journey, and it can effect ALL of those pieces of you! From decision-making and planning, understanding your body and your choices, searching for providers, attending many many appointments, and crossing your finger in your wait, you DO NOT HAVE TO DO THIS ALONE. Consider us fertility concierges. We create support that is unique to the individuals and couples who need it. Some wish to have someone to process the rollercoaster of feelings that arise. Others want to know about their body's fertility signs. Some want referrals for services, or to create a trauma-informed Fertility Plan to share with providers. Still, some others need and want physical hand-holding during appointments, or during pregnancy testing. Reach out and we can customize the support that will work best for you. 
*While I support all people and couples, I specialize in supporting those with trauma history, prior birth or fertility trauma,  as well as single mothers by choice. :)
