Rhianna Gaehring (she/her/hers)

I am a Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Lactation Counselor, supporting folks through all aspects of
reproductive life since 2019. I am also a nationally certified Spanish-English Medical Interpreter and 15-year
veteran Allied Healthcare Professional. My background is in clinical research and I bring a wealth of
evidence-based knowledge, skills, and experience to all of my services. I specialize in reproductive advocacy,
justice, and equity in access to quality health care. More importantly, I carry with me a deep-seated belief in
every person’s right to a positive, empowered, and dignified birth experience of their choosing and equitable,
respectful treatment in medical settings.

I provide unbiased information alongside emotional and physical support that benefit birthing people and their
family during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. As a doula, my job is to guide and assist you in making
educated choices about your pregnancy, and remind you that you can trust in the strength of your own body
and profound wisdom during this time.

Prior to becoming a Doula, I received a Bachelor's degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, and
subsequently worked in allied health for almost 10 years. My work as a Doula began in 2019 under the
tutelage of Beth Goldberg of Douladelphia (Birth Arts International), whose mentorship emphasizes birth as a
normal, physiologic process that has been attended almost exclusively by childbearing people for millennia.
This training also comprised strong anti-racist and anti-colonialist points of view, placing me in a long lineage of
birth attendants before me. Thereafter, I pursued ongoing professional development in lactation, infant feeding,
and perinatal mental health through various organizations including, among others, the Philadelphia
Department of Public Health and Postpartum Support International - Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health.
I became a Certified Childbirth Educator in 2023 (Birth Arts International) and a Certified Lactation Counselor
in 2025 (Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice).

When I'm not caring for others in my professional life, I can be found dancing in the kitchen with my family,
cultivating our garden, and loving up our tabby cat fur baby, Leo. What can I say? Radical Love is my nature!

"Let choice whisper in your ear and Love murmur in your heart. Be ready. Here comes life."
