I’m Erin McQuilkin, a Postpartum Doula serving families in the Philadelphia area. My path into doula work was born from a deep reverence for the fourth trimester — a sacred window of rest and intimate connection often overlooked in modern life. Through my own challenging birth experience, I discovered common issues birthing people, such as loss of sovereignty and absence of trauma-informed care. This discovery became fuel for supporting the birthing parent-child dyad with compassion as they navigate the experience of bringing their child Earthside. As a caregiver, my goal is to create a space where new parents feel empowered and wholly supported as they adjust to life with their baby. My approach integrates guidance for post-birth healing, healthy meal prep, and infant care that builds inner confidence during this transformative period. I love crafting soothing herbal teas and superfood smoothies designed to nourish every new mama’s body and spirit! Whether through postnatal education or simply holding space, my intention is always the same: to help you feel seen and held as you reconnect with your own innate wisdom. Before entering birthwork, I graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a degree in Marketing and worked in luxury hospitality for fifteen years. Alongside my work in hospitality, I am a certified Hatha Yoga teacher and have spent decades studying yoga and meditation. On my time off, you can find me whisking up a potent matcha latte, snuggling up with my son Kai, or leaving the local library with a ridiculously big stack of books for my family.
